Monday - Friday / I'm available at any time as my schooling is all online, so it is very flexible.
I have four nieces and nephews in total, and have taken care of all of them from infancy on. Right now my niece and nephew are infants (twins) and I help take care of them all of the time, which has helped me out a lot in my experiences with young children. I also babysat my little sister a lot when I was younger in order to help my mom out when she was working.
I have been working with children from age 12. I started working in children's ministry at that time- and continued to do so until I was about 17, at which time I started working as a Latchkey Aide for Royerton Elementary School. Around age 18, I started working in the preschool connected to Delta High School as part of a class regarding child development- of which I was part of the course work for two or three years. I also have babysat since I was 16 for a couple of families on my street on and off. I think that child development is a really interesting field- my mom works in education and a lot of my family does too, so it's something I am familiar with and wish to continue pursuing.
Crocheting, reading, and playing games. I've recently been working on crocheting a blanket- it's been a hefty task but it's one a I really enjoy doing. As for reading, I read a lot of different things, but recently I've been into classics. In games, I play all kinds of things- my favorites being Stardew Valley, Sims, and Skyrim.

I worked as a Latchkey Aide for Royerton Elementary for several years, was in many child education classes in High School, and worked in the preschool that was within my high school as well.
I intend to offer a welcoming and nurturing contribution- I want to make sure that any child I work with feels safe in my care, and that parents trust me with their children as well. I like to foster relationships with the parents I work with in order to let them be more aware of who exactly is watching their child. As far as the workplace goes, I want to be a safe place for coworkers as well- but I am mostly in a job to work. I want to make sure I have relationships with coworkers but don't want it to cloud over the work environment, as I believe my relationships with others should come second to the work I am doing while I am at work. In all, I think that I want to be able to bring forth a healthy and happy environment and make sure that I am working my hardest- while also making sure that I am attentive to the job at hand and the children I am working with.
As stated before, I have worked in many different fields of child development, from ages 0-14. All have led to many different opportunities within child development, and that has helped me advance a lot. Ministry, latchkey, babysitting, and preschool have all shaped my life in different ways and have helped me grow as a person overall.
